Hammy & Sassy are an adorable pair of outside pigs in need of a new home that has more space for them to roam and a secure fence to keep them safe. (PPN recommends hog panel & t-posts.) They both are good with kids of all ages, as well as with other animals. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) They're housebroken & crate trained.
Hammy & Sassy would originally free roam the property, but after 3 years they started roaming down the road which led to being restricted to an outdoor pen. Their family would like for them to have more space, as they no longer get free grazing time. They cannot be separated, as they are bonded and have been together a long time.
Hammy is a neutered male and is sweet, loving, and very friendly. He's about 9 years old.
Sassy is an unspayed female who is shy and sweet, and she's approximately 10-11 years old.
Transportation is available (within reason) to the new home.
Hammy is neutered, but Sassy is not altered. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. PPN typically recommends spaying females due to these issues, but also recognizes the higher potential for issues spaying an older pig. You should discuss this with your vet.
