Penelope is being rehomed due to zoning issues. Her mom is heartbroken, but after numerous court cases, she's being forced to rehome by 11/13/2023. She'd be a great pig for someone looking for a second pig, as she used to live with another pig who passed and she was at her happiest then.
She lives with four kids ages 2-17. The youngest isn't left alone unattended around Penelope because she is very good driven and will try and take food from small children. Penelope is good with the dogs and cats in the home. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) She is housebroken & can do a few tricks for food: sit, jump off the ground, & spin.
Her mom says this about her: "She is completely deaf. We realized she was different when she was small she responded really well to hand signals and taps to go and come etc. She is loud because she can't hear herself and squeals when she wants food or wants to go outside to use the bathroom."
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements. She travels well in cars.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
