Pepper's dad was a reclusive man who suddenly passed away last month. The family who got the house have no interest in Pepper and have threatened him, so his dad's friends have got together to help try to find Pepper a home to keep him safe. Very little is known about Pepper, but he seems like he has a calm temperament and has always been an outside pet. He is good with other animals and has been around a couple of other dogs and cats outside.
He's a mellow guy who just needs a place where he can be happy and looked after. The friends of his dad simply want him safe.
Transportation is (likely) not available, so the adopter should be able to make arrangements themselves to bring Pepper to the new home. The friends will help if they can.
Pepper is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
