Pheobe in Pequea, PA
Pheobe

Pheobe is an adorable little girl in need of a new home! She's a smart girl who is already crate trained, harness trained, and housebroken, willing to use a litterbox, but preferring to potty outside. She also knows sit and spin, and the family just started using training buttons for outside, food, and water.

Pheobe doesn't pay any attention to the cat, and mostly gets along with the two dogs in the home. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) She will snip at them if she is hungry or moody, but will also play with them and snuggle for naps. Pheobe is being rehomed because the family has concerns about one dog and her battling for head of the pack. They have both snipped at each other. She hasn't caused injury, but she got a cut on her lip. For everyone's safety, it's best if the new home either doesn't have dogs or where they can be kept completely separated.

Her mom said: She loves to snuggle or bury herself under covers. Every night she lays with her head on my chest to watch a couple shows. She gladly goes to bed a 9:00 and sleeps under her bed. She is a rooter, so enjoys making holes with our dog or diving into a rooting box. Oatmeal is a favorite for rooting in the house. Zoomies are the cutest whether they are inside or out. She barks very time she gets to the end of the hall. She is very active and a bit bossy but overall a sweet girl.

Transportation is available within 50 miles to the new home.

Pheobe is not altered so arrangements must be made to spay prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
