Poor Pig Pig has been living in abandoned home since 8/2025, after his owner passed away. A few generous neighbors have been feeding him ever since then. The family member inheriting the home isn't interested in keeping him once the estate is finalized, so the neighbor who has been feeding him is helping find him a new home (with permission). If a home isn't found, the family member said they planned to have him euthanized.
Pig Pig is the sweetest boy, super affectionate and seems to get along with anyone and everyone. He's done well with kids of all ages. He lives alongside two dogs (also being rehomed) and is good with them. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) Pig Pig lives outside, but also came inside when his owner was alive. He isn't neutered, so he would mount a chair on occasion.
Transportation is available to the new home. The neighbor is willing to pay for transportation to a loving home, and for neutering.
Pig Pig is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
