Porky in Ottawa Lake, MI
Porky

3/29/25 Still available and current photos added. Porky is a lovely outdoor piggy in need of a new home. He is very well mannered, although he is scared of men. He has encountered cats and dogs; he can be a bit scared of the dogs, but he's a mellow guy who tends to just shy away from them. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) He sleeps in the same bed with the goats. He's a nice boy who will let you pet him and he comes when you call his name. His family is only rehoming because they are being forced to move.

Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.

Porky may be unaltered, but this is not confirmed. He does not hump and has no stinky boar odor. If he is not already neutered, arrangements must be made to neuter after adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.

Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
