Porky in Muscle Shoals, AL
Porky

Meet Porky! This cute boy is a kune kune mix in need of a new home. He lost his best friend & sibling recently and has been sad. He could really use a pig friend to keep him company. He's a sweet boy who does great with the 2 y/o kiddo in the home. He's also good with other animals he's met. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) He is housebroken, crate trained, and up to date on shots, but he is not neutered. He also knows "sit".

Porky likes to roam around and loves to explore outside. He's mostly an outdoor piggy, but if it gets too cold, he's allowed to come inside if he wants to - but he really loves to be outside! He loves to root and play. He loves toys, belly rubs, scratches, and booty pats,. He does not like to be picked up and he is very skittish at first with new people. He is a sassy boy and if he doesn't like something, he will let you know! He loves to oink and is a big eater.

Transportation is available within 100 miles to the new home.

Porky is not altered so arrangements must be made to neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.

Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
