Pumba is an indoor piggy in need of a new home that has more time for him. He is sassy and will throw tantrums, but overall, he is a good piggy. He's housebroken and crate trained. He lives with 2 dogs, and once he gets used to them, he will play. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) Pumba also gets along with the nephew who is 9.
Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.
It's unconfirmed if Pumba is altered, but he doesn't hump so he might be neutered. If not, arrangements must be made to neuter. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
