Pumba in Morganton, NC
Pumba

Pumba showed up at the house over a year ago. He's technically a stray, but since no one else around feeds him and the family will be moving and unable to take him, they are looking to find him a home. He is a really nice boy! Pumba comes when called and obeys when they tell him not to come into the garage. This sweet guy wags his tail when he sees their cars coming home. He also allows petting and head scratches. He's certainly not your typical "stray"! He's been good around other animals. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.)

Because he only showed up a year ago, his history is unknown, but he's been a great outdoor piggy!

Transportation is not available, so the adopter will need to make arrangements.

It is unconfirmed if this pig is altered so arrangements must be made to spay or neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.

Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
