Sookie in Prattville, AL
Sookie

Sookie is an indoor piggy who is fine with kids and has been around ages 10 and 13. She's also done well around dogs, goats, and chickens. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) Sookie is housebroken and crate trained. She likes to sleep. When she was younger and smaller, she would do zoomies and bark when the dogs bark. For the last 6 months, she spends most of her time eating, foraging, or sleeping. Her dad said: "I wouldn't call her sweet. She is ornery at worst, but mostly indifferent. She seems to tolerate the people and animals in her life."

Transportation is available within 300 miles to the new home.

Sookie is not altered so arrangements must be made to spay prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. (She may need to be dieted to a lower weight before your vet can spay her.)

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.

Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
