Turia & Tootsie are two young pigs currently in foster. They are very bonded and must be adopted together. They both came from the recent barn fire rescue.
Turia (more white) was badly burned on all 4 feet and her entire belly. She made a rapid recovery and is doing great! We were asked if we'd take her sister Tootsie (more black) because she was petrified of everything at the original location, and we took her in since they were siblings. We didn't know until she arrived, but she also had some close exposure to the fire. It appears Tootsie inhaled flames/heat and has respiratory issues; she also had singed hair and her face & ears were burned. Now that the two girls have been reunited, they stick to each other constantly and we don't ever want to separate them again. With how adorable they are together, we simply couldn't imagine them apart!
7/29/25: Both Turia & Tootsie are now spayed & ready for their new home! Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors.
