Winston in Wendell, NC
Winston

Winston is a stray that wandered onto a horse farm last fall. No one has claimed him, but they cannot keep him long term since he's not allowed in the neighborhood. He enjoys a good scratch and likes to swim in his “pool” (water trough). Winston is very sweet, but timid if you tower over him or approach too quickly. He's been good with both kids & adults, although shy. He's also timid around dogs and horses. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) Winston is crate trained.

The temporary home said: In November, he was weighed (90 lbs), castrated (under sedation), vaccinated, and dewormed by the large animal vet. He has lived mostly in our horses' round pen and a dog igloo house (in a horse stall during frigid weather), but not in our home. He has gradually gained weight over the past few months, so probably 100+ currently. He has never shown any masculine or aggressive behaviors (no mounting, biting, charging, etc). Overall a sweet guy, just want to find a kind home for him with other pig(s).

Transportation is available within 100 miles to the new home - the family would love to stay in touch.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
