10/9/25: The piglets have all found homes; just mom & dad remain! Let's find homes for Porky & Poppy! Porky, Poppy, and their 3 piglets are all in need of homes. Poppy was the family's original pig, then they took in Porky from the neighbors because he was free roaming. Unfortunately, neither pig was altered, so they started multiplying. The family isn't able to keep up and they keep escaping. They want to find safe homes for everyone. 

Porky is the dad. He is sweet, and comes when called. His tongue sticks out all the time. He is estimated to be around 2.5-3 years of age. Poppy is skittish; she doesn't really care for anyone, but she also isn't mean. The 3 piglets, two females and one male, are sweet. They were born in late July. All the pigs seem to be fine around other animals like dogs & cats. (Dogs and pigs should always be supervised and never left alone when together.) 

Transportation is available (within reason) to the new home. 

None of these pigs are altered so arrangements must be made to spay and neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.

Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
