The Handyland Pack are a group of 9 pigs all in need of homes. They are available for adoption separately. It first started with Napoleon (dad) and Petunia (mom) and one little 2 years ago resulting in 5 remaining 2 y/o pigs: Pokey (a cryptorchid male who had one testicle removed, but needs surgery to remove the other), and 4 girls named Knotty, Spotty, Maysea, and Staysea (who is underweight and needs a bit of extra care). These 2 y/o girls are the only pigs living together in a stall. Then 6 months ago, there was another small litter resulting in Bubba Jay and Fatty Patty. Everyone has since been separated, so there shouldn't be any further unwanted pigs.
This listing is for Bubba Jay, the 6-month-old boy. (Fatty Patty is the 6 m/o girl.) The girl pigs are all a little more social & less shy than the boys, but all the pigs will warm up with more attention and care in the new homes.
These pigs are not altered so arrangements must be made to spay or neuter prior to adoption. Intact pigs do not make the best companion animals. Spaying prevents unwanted litters, curbs behavior problems, and prevents uterine tumors. Neutering prevents behavior issues and eliminates that classic boar odor. Altering piggies when they're young is safer and usually less expensive than waiting until it becomes a problem or a medical emergency.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the application and mention the name, city, and state of the pig(s) you're interested in: https://www.pigplacementnetwork.org/online-adoption-application/
Qualified homes must 1) be in a zone friendly community, 2) locate a vet that will care for pet pigs, 3) own their home.
Donations to PPN are greatly appreciated so we can continue to help pigs.
